Building Open to Juniors and Seniors 

 

Our policy

Although classes will be on break, the college process won't.

 

Bronx Prep will open their doors to welcome students willing to work during break.Bronx Preparatory Charter School will be on vacation from December 19th to January 3rd, however, the doors will remain open every Monday- Wednesday from 10am to 3pm for any juniors and seniorss who want to work on college preparation work. There will be guidance counselors and a few English teachers around from those times to assist any who need help with essays, applications, or financial applications. We encourage all to utilize this time set aside to help the juniors and seniors.

 

There have been complaints that the regular school day is too busy for time to work undisturbed on college preparation material. There have also been an outpour of students in the college office during lunch and after school. Although the dedication is admirable, the influx of students at one time becomes ineffective. This is a reminder that break is three weeks, and this opportunity is being given three days out the week. There should be no reason all applications are not sent out before the first of January.

 

All juniors and seniors are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this, and strongly urged to use this break to be productive. There will also be laptops and notebooks available for the use of students during this time. There should be no reason why resources should be an excuse for why work and applications are not completed. There will also be an online file space that students can save their work at, to continue work or finish at home.
